Our Background
Before founding Sofos Robotics, our team spent years on manufacturing floors across North America. We programmed welding cells, commissioned robotic systems, and solved the challenges that come with high-mix, low-volume production.
We experienced firsthand the limitations of traditional teach pendant programming: the time-consuming point-by-point jogging, the production downtime during programming, and the difficulty of achieving consistent quality on complex geometries.
When we adopted offline programming with Robotmaster, we saw immediate improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Programs that previously required days of floor time could be developed and validated in hours—without taking the robot offline.
Today, our team combines deep technical expertise with practical manufacturing knowledge. We're former robot programmers, welding engineers, and automation specialists who understand both the technology and the operational realities of production environments. This experience informs everything we do, from initial consultation through implementation and ongoing support.
